Established in Pontiac, MI in 1964 by Elton "Swindell" Swindlehurst. Elton owned and operated two Gulf gas stations, one Union 76 station, and several tow trucks. In 1971, Elton moved to Clarkston, MI and began to expand his towing business. In 1976,  he created Statewide towing along with his son ,Duane, who was born into the towing business. At 10 years old, Duane got behind the wheel of a statewide truck and has been towing ever since. Duane has seen many changes in the towing business, but one thing remains the same; people want the job done and they want it done right.
